Director of Business Systems at Majestic Realty Co since January 2004, I started my career path with JD Edwards & Co. back in 1995 internally in accounting and moving on to consulting, implementing and upgrading OneWorld financials, job cost, purchasing, real estate management, and security modules, coexistence, and WorldSoftware to OneWorld/EnterpriseOne. Before joining Majestic Realty Co I worked in private industry at Amgen on World and OneWorld Coexistence, and consulted again as a Deloitte consultant. I’ve been an active participant at SCUG, Collaborate and Oracle OpenWorld meetings both in attendance and speaking engagements. It is now my pleasure to further this participation serving as President of our JDE SCUG.

Director of Marketing

Tak is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for The Olson Company. Tak is a proven leader with over 20 years of experience establishing strategic technologies for high growth companies like Hearthstone, BuildNet, and Warmington Homes. Tak has a long history of delivering transformational enterprise level initiatives like ERP, BI, CRM, scheduling, eBusiness, ITIL, disaster recovery, SOX compliance, outsourcing and SaaS. Tak’s experience spans several industries including institutional investment, commercial banking, software, consulting, real estate development and higher education. A native of Southern California, Tak has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a MBA in eBusiness from the University of Phoenix. Tak is passionate about teaching and supporting non-profits. He is an Adjunct Professor with the University of La Verne where he instructs courses in management information systems. He is currently a Board member of the CIO Executive Network (CEN) and the Center for Information Strategies and Technologies (CIST). Tak has also served on the Board for the Southern California Society of Information Management (SIM)

Treasurer

Cheryl Pierce is the immediate past President of SCUG – having served in this role since 1997. During that time, she also served six years on the BOD for Quest International Users Group. Throughout her career, Cheryl has been very involved in the J.D. Edwards user group community. A long-time JD Edwards user, Pierce is a project manager at Amcor Packaging Distribution, the largest global packaging company in the world. Pierce's current role with Amcor is PM over all new system upgrades +/or conversions from acquired companies. She manages the business systems of both World and E1 releases for the financial and distribution modules, and acts as primary support for all JDE and all 3rd party products interfaced into JDE. Cheryl is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. She currently resides in Fountain Valley, Calif., with her husband, Andy and is the proud parent of two kids, both in College now, daughter, Justine (University of San Diego) and son, Michael – Hawaii Pacific University.

Website Coordinator

Tom Cochran is the current Website Coordinator of SCUG – having served in this role since 2009. Cochran has been involved with the User group since early 1991, holding many of the Officer positions. Throughout his career, Cochran has been very involved in the J.D. Edwards user group community. A long-time JD Edwards user, Cochran is a project manager at CB Richard Ellis, the largest real estate company in the world. Cochran's current role with CBRE is PM over some high profile projects for Asset Services and the Corporate Human Resources groups. Cochran is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He currently resides in Corona, Calif., with his wife, Nancy and is the proud parent of two kids, both at Corona High School, daughter, Lauren and son, Glenn.

Membership Coordinator

Peter Yang is the current Membership Coordinator of SCUG – having served in this role since 2011. Peter Yang is Sr. Information Systems Analyst at City of Huntington Beach, and currently acts as primary supports for J.D. Edwards, all 3rd party products interfaced into JDE and other business applications for city services. He has a MBA degree concentration in Management Information Systems at University of Memphis, and worked on J.D. Edwards World release for Fox Cable and OneWorld/EnterpriseOne release for Ascent Media past many years. He currently resides in Buena Park, CA, with his wife Nelly, and two of three kids, his daughter Sara who currently attends Cal State Fullerton and his younger son Paul who attends Cypress High, and older son Mark lives in La Jolla at UC San Diego.

Damodara Reddy is a regular attendee of SCUG for past several years. During this period, he has been involved in several group discussions and round table meetings in the J.D. Edwards user group community. A long-time JD Edwards Systems Analyst and Developer, Damodara is a Sr. Systems Analyst at Christie digital Systems USA Inc. the largest Digital Project company in the world, located in Cypress, CA. His current role is involving new system upgrades & development support for finance & manufacturing modules. He is involved with development and upgrade of JDE OneWorld releases, and acts as team support. Damodara has post graduate degree in Information Management from Aspen University, Denver, CO. He is married to Lakshmi and the proud parent of their one and only child, Avinash.

Oracle Business Partner/Advisor

Phil Walton is the current Oracle Business Partner/Advisor of SCUG – having served in this role since 2011. Phil Walton is an Certified Accountant and has been a Controller, then IT Director, in California over a global JD Edwards E1 installation and, having selected and implemented the Insight® solution himself to address the growing controls problems and efficiency weaknesses caused by spreadsheets, joined InsightSoftware.com in 2006 as Regional Manager for the Western Region and in 2011 became the VP of Sales, Americas. Phil has presented at Open World and Collaborate conferences, and many Quest and local User Groups.
